We spoke with Miley Holmes, co-founder of Easy Slider along with Caroline Perini, for a little Q&A to find out the secret ingredient for Easy Slider's great success: 

HOW DID YOU START YOUR COMPANY? Caroline and I always talked about opening a restaurant, but we simply didn't have the finances to make it happen. Lucky for us, the food truck scene just got rolling in Dallas, and it's a relatively soft entry point to the industry. We talked about serving tacos, hot dogs, all sorts of things....then we realized that sliders are the perfect party food! Everything fell into place after that. We invested our life savings in a twenty year old food truck, and the rest is history. 

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR WORK? We love that the view from the office changes daily. Technically we perform the same tasks every day, so it's super rewarding to travel the state and interact with folks from all walks of life. 

TELL US ABOUT A MEMORABLE EVENT. One of our most memorable events on the food truck was the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library. It was a huge, very high profile event, but the most exciting thing was that all five living presidents were there to celebrate - Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and George W. Bush. Staff info was submitted for background checks weeks in advance, and Secret Service officers performed a very intense inspection on the food truck!
